Corn cob media is a lightweight organic polishing media used mainly for dry polishing and buffing, not for standard we rock tumbling. It's best for improving a shine on metal, shell, glass, and some already smoothed stones when paired with a polishing compound. It is commonly used in vibratory tumblers and less common in rotary. Dry polishing is not a replacement for normal wet tumbling.
Pro-Tip:
Use corn cob only with completely dry material and a small amount of polishing compound. Too much moisture causes clumpy and uneven polish.
