Plastic tumbling media cushions stones, fills gaps in the barrel, and helps prevent chipping and bruising during polishing. Ideal for rotary tumblers, especially in the pre-polish and polish stages. It maintains proper barrel fill as stones shrink and promotes a gentles, more even tumble.
Plastic media is best when you want lightweight cushioning and volume without additional grinding or cutting that you get with ceramic media.
Pro-Tip:
Please do not reuse plastic between stages of grit. Plastic mead is soft and will trap the grit inside as it is used. Keep either fresh media for each tumble or set aside used media labelled with the grit it tumbled in.
